Yupp. I said it. I failed out the first time. Failing was getting two 75s instead of 76s, but ya know. #NursingSchoolProblems.
The point is, nursing school is hard. When you're in the middle of it, it can feel like an insurmountable mountain. Nobody understands that pressure better than someone who has lived it.
As an experienced RN, preceptor, mentor, and nurse educator, I'm passionate about education with empathy. Teaching has become one of my favorite parts of nursing. I love the moment when something that felt complicated suddenly clicks - when a student stops memorizing an answer and starts understanding why it's the answer.
That's why I started tutoring.
I've worked with nursing students who feel overwhelmed, new nurses who don't yet trust themselves, and NCLEX candidates who know the material but struggle to translate that knowledge into the right answer. Often, they don't need more information. They need someone to help them connect the dogs, recognize what matters, and learn how to think through the problem. They need someone who can teach them to think like a nurse.
