Hi! I'm Lauren. I'm a registered nurse, clinical nurse educator, and lifelong advocate for better nursing education and practice.

My nursing career has taken me through cardiac step-down, intensive care, emergency trauma nursing, hospice, and education. Today, as a clinical nurse educator, I focus much of my work on helping nurses develop the knowledge, confidence, and clinical judgment they need to care for their patients well.

​

I am passionate about nursing education, mentorship, and creating a better experience for the nurses who are entering the profession. I strongly believe that nurses deserve to be well prepared, well supported, and empowered to speak up - not just for their patients but for themselves and for the future of nursing.
​

Outside of nursing, I am usually reading, writing, singing, traveling, or starting a new hobby I may or may not stick with (thanks ADHD!). I enjoy painting despite having very little evidence that I'm actually good at it.

I live on the East Coast of the United States with my husband Sam, two dogs, two cats, six chickens, and an unreasonable number of fish.
